From late spring to early autumn (May–Sep), join us from Norheimsund, Øystese or Ulvik.

  • Speed across crystal-clear water framed by towering mountains and cascading waterfalls.
  • Explore stunning fjord arms like Fyksesund, Osafjord and Simadalsfjord.
  • Ideal for families, photographers, and first-time fjord explorers.

Why summer? Thrill. Light. Life. And memories painted in water and rock.

In winter, Norheimsund becomes your gateway to the fjord’s quieter season.

  • Glide through snow-lined fjord arms and mirror-calm water.
  • Enjoy the rare stillness and unique winter light — perfect for photos and reflection.
  • Guided by experienced captains with thermal suits included.

Why winter? Quiet. Calm. Clarity. A fjord reborn — only for those who slow down.

Each RIB used by Hardangerfjord Adventure:

  • Seats up to 12 passengers
  • Is equipped with up to 600 horsepower
  • Features shock-absorbing seating and secure handrails
  • Includes flotation suits, goggles, and lifejackets for every guest

Tours from Ulvik

At the northend of the Hardangerfjord, amongst steep mountains and beautiful orchards, the village of Ulvik awaits.

Our seasonal base (May–September) is situated at the idyllic and venerable Brakanes Hotel located by the water where we offer RIB fjord safari tours.

Ulvik is reachable by public transport (55 to 60 minutes from Voss town) but this remote village has a low departure frequency, so it is best reachable by car from other towns or villages in the region like Voss (50 minutes), Eidfjord (30 minutes) or Lofthus (45 minutes).
